SUMMARY:Founder's Day 5k - George Washington Bicentennial Celebration
DESCRIPTION:This is the end of our year long celebration of George and Mary Washington and George’s 200th Birthday. We have been working towards celebrating their legacy as the founders of our town while raising money for a statue to put up in their honor. We have reached our goal and the statue will be revealed later on in the day during a city wide celebration.\n\nWe are starting the day with our 5k which ALL proceeds go into the founder’s scholarship. This will be a new annual 5k and celebration.\nThe 5k will border the property that George and Mary originally owned and donated to the city for the library and college. The race starts at the College on Centralia College Blvd between Washington Ave. and Oak St. The race will then take you through the town and end on Centralia College Blvd right next to the Library.\n\nThe cost is $25 before the race and $30 day of race. This includes a t-shirt and wristband. You can register online at http://www.founder5k.racewire.com.  To learn more\, please visit our website at http://www.ourgeorgewashington.com or http://www.yourlifecenter.com
